Zenobia.

On the Zenobia

Quoted often as one of the best wreck dives in the world, the Zenobia has to be well worth a visit for any serious diver. She was a Swedish roll-on-roll-off ferry and sank on her maiden voyage in June 1980 off Larnaca Harbour, along with her cargo of 104 trailers and trucks.

She now lies upon her port side in 42 metres of water, 1.5km from shore. Her starboard side lies just 16 metres from the surface. There is much to see and explore and entries are possible at various points, including the canteen, where the tartan carpet can still be made out.

Visibility is generally good as with most of the waters off Cyprus so it is easy to enjoy the plentiful life that has made itself at home on the wreck. Dusky and Striped Groupers, Sea Bass, Amberjacks, Barracuda, Parrotfish and a variety of Bream and Wrasse are amongst the species to be found here.

Located as it is on the south coast of Cyprus, Turtle Bay Dive Centre offers special trips to this unique destination.
